The partners are committed to:
- developing curriculum for K-12 using new
telecommunications technologies
- implementing infrastructure for teachers, students and parents in
at-risk school districts to assure the appropriate use of the
curriculum
- providing training for teachers, parents and administrators, not only
for the use of technology in the classroom but also for the adaptation
of curriculum
- designing an evaluation strategy which uses the attainment of local,
regional and national standards as benchmarks to measure the
effectiveness of curriculum, technology implementation and training
- disseminating the curriculum, training and evaluation results
nationally
The project is funded primarily by the
Department of Education Office of Educational Research and Improvement
with matching funds from private and public partners.
